Paule is a brilliant attorney in her fifties who has devoted her life to the law practice she built with her ex-husband Simon Lebowitz. She is blindsided when she discovers that Simon has secretly married Irene, a law partner 20 years her junior that Paule herself recruited ! Life deals a second blow to a dazed Paule when Simon has a heart attack. Languishing on his hospital bed, her ex-husband finally owns up to the new marriage… then dies ! The two women are forced to share the practice, mercilessly divvying up assets, staff and even the office walls. Paule hurriedly slaps together a team and keeps defending her clients’ interests as best she can, but reality soon catches up to her : as the new joint heads of the Lebowitz Law Offices, she and Irene are unavoidably tied at the hip. There isn’t room for both women at the top… but neither is ready to step aside !
